British Standards

British Standards are a set of design standards developed by the British Standards Institution (BSI).

Technical Information

Although Eurocodes are diminishing the use of British standards in the UK public construction industry, British Standards are still used by a significant proportion of the private sector.

There are many British standards relating to very specific aspects of the design of concrete floors, as referenced in Technical Report 34.
