ANSI - The American National Standards Institute is a non-profit organization that develops standards for safety in the construction industry.
Technical Information
ANSI coordinates the development of national standards in private and public sectors by providing a forum in which people from different companies can work together on the standards.
The ANSI publishes the standards once all of the contributors agree that they have been completed.
ANSI differs from ASTM in that its standards don’t specify material characteristics or specifications and they do specify installation practises.
