Summary

Curing compounds/membranes - are chemical substances which can be applied to the surface of recently cast slabs which prevent the loss of water from the surface.

Curing Compounds / Membranes

Some also contain catalysts and other chemicals which increase the density of the cement crystals near the surface thus further increasing the abrasion and wear resistance properties. Examples of these products are Sika Proseal and BASF Masterkure 181.
