Drop Testing

Summary

Drop Testing - aka BRE Sceeed Testing - Measures the soundness of a screed floor to help determine whether certain factors make a screed unsatisfactory.

Technical Information

Drop Testing

The information from the Drop Test will be used as a guide for determining the strength and integrity of a screed and whether or not it is likely to withstand heavy loads, such as wheeled traffic, whilst the screed floor is in service.

To assess if screeds are adequately compact and be able to determine the probable performance in use, Drop Testing is used in accordance with BS 8204-1: 2003. The BS 8204-1 provides guidance on the type of screed floor and its associated acceptance limits after drop testing.
