Pit - Pits are designed openings a concrete floor to accommodate sub-surface utilities.

Technical Information

A pit formed in a warehouse floor slab typically it will need to be isolated from the main slab using a compressible material such as miothene.

If a connection is required between the pit and the warehouse slab a dowelled connection is advised, the dowel sleeves must allow a minimum of 10mm lateral movement.
