Technical Information

Arris Repair Using CoGri Arris Repair Mortar

This is a 3 component product consisting of a resin base, a hardener and a bag of specially graded fillers which, when mixed together, produce a mortar with excellent mechanical properties that is easy to place.

It is primarily used for the repair of badly damaged and spalled floor joint arris edges and is used to fill the void left by the removal of the damaged concrete. The damaged concrete should be removed and the repair void mechanically cleaned to leave a roughly textured surface. A priming layer is applied using CoGri Bondcoat before the repair mortar can be placed.

It is also very effective in the repair of potholes in concrete floor slabs.

This arris repair mortar is extremely durable and ductile, and can withstand heavy duty traffic movements from materials handling equipment (MHE) in busy warehouse environments. It also provides resistance to a wide range of chemicals (including petroleum) and can withstand cold temperatures after full cure has been reached.

The following are typical properties of the mortar after it has cured:

  • Tensile strength 17.3 N/mm2 at 7 days
  • Flexural strength 35.2Nmm at 7 days
  • Density 2000kg/m3
  • Useable life 40 minutes
