Static Load

Summary

Static Load - A static load is permanent and remains in the same place.

Technical Information

In a warehouse, most static loading comes from racking systems or mezzanines. The magnitude of the load depends on the type of goods stored and how high the racking extends.

Static loads can come in the form of point, line or area loads depending on the racking configuration in the warehouse.

Static loads are usually assigned smaller factors of safety than dynamic loads because they are more predictable.
