Summary
Pour - A pour is a volume of concrete placed in one continuous operation.
Technical Information
Large areas of up to several thousand metres can be laid in a continuous operation.
There are three main types of pour for a concrete floor:
- Long strip – The greatest flatness can be achieved using this method. Typical upper limit of placement ≈ 300m2/day.
- Wide bay – This method achieves a moderate level of flatness. Typical upper limit of placement ≈ 600m2/day.
- Large pour – It is difficult to achieve a good level of flatness using this method. Typical upper limit of placement ≈ 1500m2/day.
There is a formed joint on the boundary between two pours.
