Volumetric Mixer

Summary

Volumetric Mixer - A volumetric concrete mixer is a way to transport and produce concrete.

Technical Information

Volumetric Mixer

Its benefits include:

  • Controls how much of the ingredients enter the mixing chamber.
  • Mobile; it can travel to different parts of the site for where the concrete is needed.
  • Produce concrete on-site so there’s no wastage.

It produces the exact amount of concrete needed; reducing waste materials. Inside the drum there is a paddle or an auger to help mix the ingredients.

These trucks are generally more expensive than agitator trucks, and aren’t commonly used for concrete flooring due to their restricted load capacity and deliverable volume of concrete, compared to an agitator truck.
